George Bush: I hate him,but what can I do. Nothing, except write articles criticizing him. Today's topic: the No Child Left Behind act. Oh man, where do I start. First off, let's get to know this "bill". It was created to help our children in education, because apparently, we're dang stupid. It makes every school district take standardized tests. If they score above a certain point, the school gets money, and nothing beats money. Oh, and that point for funding goes up...EVERY YEAR. Now, let's talk about the problems. First off, special education. They are tested at the same level as the rest of the students, in turn, bringing the scores down, and losing the schools money. Money makes schools happy, and everyone likes a happy school. Next issue: the bar being raise every year. Ok, let's think about this...THIS IS PLAIN STUPID!!! Eventually every school will have it's bar raised so high that it cannot possibly improve, and thus, once again, losing the schools money. In turn, this makes a school unhappy, and no one likes an angry school. The No Child Left Behind Act does nothing but makes the schools even more angry. It also makes me angry, which is why I'm writing this article. The No Child Left Behind Act is no good. Who needs it? Why dont' we go back and do things the way they used to be: being dumber than Latvia. There's nothing wrong with being stupid. I mean, look a George Bush. He's dumb and he's doing fine. George Bush is spoiling our children, our schools, and our country.
