When I say Bush, what do you think of? Is it a lush garden shrub? A slang term for hair "down there"? Or do you
think of President George W. Bush? If you thought of the later, you're like me.
It seems lately that all I've been thinking about is the President. And, I don't mean that in a high school crush way.
I think about him mainly because of, well, let me give you analogy. If your house is infested with cockroaches, you think
constantly of ways to end their little sorry lives. It's the same principle with him. I mean, I don't want to kill him, it's
just that he can get me a little fired up.
Hilary Clinton spoke of the Bush presidency in a Martin Luther King Day speech. She compared the white house to a plantation.
She claimed that that administration is the worst this country has seen in quite a long time. If you agree with that, raise
your hands. Now, if you actually raised because your computer screen told you to, you need some help. But if you thought about
raising it, you're with me.
I can't think about one good thing that has come out of the big white house on the hill. With trillion dollar debts, an
unnecessary war, and countless other things just add to the list of cons against this guy. It makes you wonder how he got
elected in he first place. Either he was hiding subliminal, brainwashing messages in his campaign ads, or we chose to. (More
on that later)
Perhaps Mrs. Clinton was right when she made her comment about the plantation known as the Capitol. Just ask Ray Nagin,
New Orleans' mayor. He claims that his city and the country needs to be more chocolate . He then later apologized for the
remark and said what he meant was that when mixed with milk, chocolate makes a delicious drink. Somehow, I'm sensing a little
bit of hostility from Ray to the President.
And, Ray Nagin is not alone. Nearly half of the country disapproves the President. This is America, however. Mr. Bush
didn't magically "poof" into the white house. He was elected. And, by whom was he elected? THE PEOPLE. If we don't
like this crazy President that is ruling our country, we have no room to point fingers at anyone else. It is our fault that
he is even in office to begin with.
So, I guess I can live with this bonehead for a little longer. I already have for six years. All I can say is that I can't
wait until 2008.
