You're a Racist Girl in a Racist World

What you should be watching on TV.

So, you're bored, hmmm? Well, instead of doing something productive like homework or something LAME like that, why don't you watch some refreshing television. Here are my picks for the best on the airwaves:

1. Mythbusters - in my opinion, Mythbusters is the best dang thing to come out of the Discovery Channel in a very long time. So, yeah, it's educational, but it's very entertaining. The show follows a team of special effects engineers as they set out to see whether many of the stories floating about are truth or fiction. And, they blow things up a lot. So, point your television to somewhere new, and Discover(y) the Mythbusters.

Alton Borwn of "Good Eats" shows his passion for fish.

2. Good Eats - now, I know what you're thinking, but the Food Network can be entertaining. Don't believe me? Then check out my favorite show on that network, Good Eats. Unlike most of the series on that network, this show is way more than cooking. Not only does the host of the show, Alton Brown, tell you how to make the food, he also tells you what is actually happening to the food chemically. Throw in some quarky skits and silly characers, and you've got yourself one good show.

3. Lost - Okay, Lost was on my other countdown, but this is different. You see, I wrote that other one in the midst of the first season. Writing this one before the second (right before the third), I can honestly say that they've got more than just a Robinson Crusoe wannabe. So, yeah, they are on an island, but instead of the island being just a setting, the island is also a character, with its scary "monsters" and plumes hatches out the wazoo. While it may be a bit confusing to the new viewers, after a few episodes, I'm sure they will be caught up. I got Lost, but will you?

4. Dancing With the Stars - At first, I didn't think this show would take off. I thought it would go down on the list of failed television shows. I was wrong. I don't know that I've ever been as interested in ballroom dancing as I am right now. Plus, the new season boasts some people who would be very interesting to see on the dance floor. (Jerry Springer, Mario Lopez, country singer Sara Evans) I'm psyched and you should be too.
